Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles in a middle-class family. Her childhood was filled with big dreams. Her most memorable roles include the action spy film Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol and the thriller Precious. Her family was a middle class one in Los Angeles, she harboured huge dreams when she was a kid. Her mother was a film enthusiast and urged her to enjoy movies as a young person. Paula was active with her school's cocurricular activities and particularly awed by drama. She loved to play act with her classmates and took part in school's stage shows. After performing in a variety of high school productions at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School, she decided to make acting her career. In a summer program at the University of Southern California, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She was awarded an award for a PBS 3-month assignment to make documentary films. She started as an assistant to production for TV documentaries following her successful completion of the assignment. Next, she was going to produce documentaries. Though she loved her job but she always dreamed of being an actor. Her first acting gig came through a role as a support in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she has played in many famous television and film productions.
